Communicating in a complex world

I’m a long-time writer, editor and communicator. I specialize in complex subjects, including stories about science, technology, and the institutions that promote them.

As a journalist I’ve written for publications like New Scientist, Nature, The Economist and the Toronto Star. As a communicator I’ve helped universities and non-profits articulate their stories to the audiences they need to reach.

Previously I was director of communications for the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, and before that associate director of communications at the University of Toronto, Scarborough.

You can look at the kind of work I do, read a little more about me, get in touch, or head over to my LinkedIn profile. I’m also giving Mastodon a try.
